There ain't no gold in this riverThat I've been washin' my hands in foreverI know there is hope in these watersBut I can't bring myself to swimWhen I am drowning in this silenceBaby, let me in
Go easy on me, babyI was still a childDidn't get the chance toFeel the world around meI had no time to chooseWhat I chose to doSo go easy on me
There ain't no room for things to changeWhen we are both so deeply stuck in our waysYou can't deny how hard I have triedI changed who I was to put you both firstBut now I give up
Go easy on me, babyI was still a childDidn't get the chance toFeel the world around meHad no time to chooseWhat I chose to doSo go easy on me
I had good intentionsAnd the highest hopesBut I know right nowThat probably doesn't even show
Go easy on me, babyI was still a childI didn't get the chance toFeel the world around meI had no time to chooseWhat I chose to doSo go easy on me
